3D printed wishbone/ ice mold

Printing a positive wishbone sculpture so that I can use it to cast a negative mold using silicone. 

Added extra supports as it's such a tall piece. Should be almost 45cm long.

My first print attempt was a disaster. Will redo it.

I've been considering how to display this piece. My original plan was to hang it. But this had its origins in my want to make the piece from glass; imagining it suspended had loads of delicious paradoxical semiotics and added tension. But. It's now going to be made from ice now. And I wonder if it will be more powerful lay down, melting into a tray. A clear perspex tray with subtly engraved words that only become visible when the piece is fully melted.

Captain hindsight to the rescue. Useless bastard.

Or something.
