Texture and colour research at the garden centre

I went to the garden centre today, took some photos, stared at fish and axolotls. Apparently, if axolotls get hungry enough, they start eating the limbs of their peers. Something to think about.

I shot everything on my phone. I need to upgrade to a DSLR so I can document my work properly and collect higher-quality primary research. I’ve already found the model I want. Now it’s just a matter of tracking down a reconditioned one at a decent price. For now, I’m making do. The limitations of my current tools sometimes feel like part of the process, a reminder that resourcefulness can be its own kind of creativity.
