Resolving AN0STR3(?)

After loads of messing about with textile heads I was dissatisfied. It all felt too crafty. Too chintz.

And then I played around with the Guardian of Whimsys head on the piece and it just worked. The clash of materials and texture. The bolting of head onto buttocks (think I will use elastic bands). It feels good.

It needs to be scaled up and I need to adapt the base so it sits on the curve of the sculpture neatly. And it needs to be baby pink. But it feels resolved, the juxtaposition.

While musing on this, I thought about how interesting it would be to have the head rotating. It's not for this exact sculpture, but a cursory search showed me its not that tricky to mechanise something light like a 3D printed element. Food for thought.
