Thinking about curating these pieces
And I really enjoy the juxtaposition of toy versus tense industrial space, as above. It asks lots of questions about how that object got there and what it's purpose is. It creates a story. And it's uncomfortable. I like that tension.
Maybe I just like that generally abd it's not a good fit curating wise for the AIB pieces. I think a partbof what's made it hard to envision is not having an install location in mind. I know the plans have evolved considerably since it's first inception but it is a relevant thing to reflect on. That if you're making pieces for installation, site specific considerations can feed into the creative process.
And inversely, the tone of a piece can be totally shifted based on its presentation.
