Reworked dog piece: working title "Every Dog Has its Day"
I had an epiphany this morning. I was thinking about creating a simple but impactful sculptural piece using what I have to hand/ working with things I've already created and developing them.
The dog came to mind and I realised that if I placed them on each side of a rectangular block, like so...
Then I could pop a peppers ghost of a ball on top, creating the illusion of the dog jumping to catch the ball.
The flat graphic projection combined with a theatrical illusion creates a moment of impossible interaction.
There's loads of futile tension there and I like that.
I'll build the box next week.
